New pursuit data are published quarterly, on the last Mondays of January, April, July, and October. Once published, the data are updated daily. A CSV file containing all public data is available for download using the link below. The file does not contain juvenile data, which has been withheld to ensure adherence with Minnesota law. The file contains following data elements:

Data Element Description
Originating, Assisting Indicates if agency is originating or assisting.
Incident Date Date the pursuit occurred.
Agency ORI The National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Originating Agency Identifier (ORI) is a unique, nine-character number that identifies each reporting agency.
Agency Name Name of the reporting agency.
Incident Number A unique case number assigned by a law enforcement agency to identify a particular incident.
Pursuit Reason Code Indicates the circumstances that initiated a law enforcement pursuit.
Pursuit Termination Code Indicates the reason the pursuit was terminated.
Start Time Indicates time pursuit started.
Miles Indicates miles covered in pursuit.
Property Damage Indicates if any damage to the squad or violator vehicle or damage to property or other vehicles on a pursuit incident.
Vehicle Pursued Indicates number of vehicles pursued.
Initiating Agency ORI The National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Originating Agency Identifier (ORI) is a unique, nine-character number that identifies each initiating agency.
Initaiting Agency Name Name of the initiating agency.
Initiating Agency Incident Number Indicates the initiating agency case number if the agency submitting the pursuit form did not initiate the pursuit.
Officer Injury Indicates number of officers who sustained type of injury in pursuit.
Person Involved Indicates all other person involved in pursuit.
Age Indicates age of the person involved.
Sex Indicates sex of the person involved.
Injury Type Indicates particular kind of harm sustained by the person involved.
Charges Filed Indicates if any charges are filed against violator.
